Attendees watch intently as a presenter gestures at large projector screen. The presentation slide reads "How does the City buy what it needs?"

A Small Business Workshop

Navigating the City and County of San Francisco’s contracting process can be challenging, so we developed resources and hosted an event to support small businesses through the steps.

Overview

In April 2025, the City Administrator hosted small businesses at an in-person workshop event. The goal was to demystify the City’s contracting and purchasing processes so you know what you need to do if you want to compete for City work. If you missed the event, you can still view the workshop resources in the links below!
